Davis Chapel Reception

The dedication of Davis Memorial Chapel was held at North Carolina Baptist Hospital on March 23, 1957 at 2:00 p.m. The chapel was built by the Atlas Supply Company in memory of Annie Pearl Shore Davis and in honor of Egbert L. Davis, Sr. After the dedication ceremony, the public was invited to a reception in the library of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine where they were served punch and a cake depicting the exact shape of the newly built Davis Chapel. Individuals in the photo have not yet been identified.
