  1. Is the Moxley piano company still in existence? It would be great to own a piano made by my namesake!! Although I am a poor Moxley.:( thank you for the trip back in time- although I was not born until the late 60″s I still enjoyed the photo

  2. The Moxley Piano Co. was founded in 1946 by George E. & Ruby Moxley. They sold Baldwin pianos and organs. Originall located at 858 W. 4th St., they later moved to 673 W. 4th as shown here. George died in 1972. Ruby continued the business until 1978. She died in 1995.

    The movie showing at the Winston Theater at right was “The Tunnel of Love”, starring Doris Day, Richard Widmark & Gig Young.
